    1.) Final week to visit Open Walls

    Through Friday, Photographic Archives Gallery in Ekstrom Library, lower level

    This is the final week to visit the 2015 Open Walls faculty/staff art exhibit. Stop by for a few minutes and see the more creative side of your UofL colleagues. There are about 40 items on display from photographs to basketry to jewelry to a hand-made motorcycle.

    2.) Mark your calendar for the Digital Media Academy’s Smart Girl Showcase

    June 26, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Chao Auditorium, Ekstrom Library

    Mark your calendar for a showcase of digital media projects created by Louisville middle school girls who have spent two weeks “Designing Their Community” through image manipulation and video editing. Sponsored by the English Department and Liberal Studies, the Digital Media Academy will offer the technological means, and girls from JCPS schools will provide the creativity and curiosity to engage in solving problems they think are important for envisioning their communities.

    3.) Women Veterans Rock! Day on Campus

    June 29, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Houchens Building, Room 32

    Are you a military veteran? Active duty, reservist or national guard? Stop by the Women Veterans Rock! Day on Campus at the Brown Bag Lunch & Learn Workshop Series. Representatives on military benefits and resources will be on hand to provide information. Bring your lunch; light refreshments provided. This event is being sponsored by the U of L Women’s Center, the Office of Military & Veterans Services, in conjunction with the Women Veterans Rock! Midwest Region.
