8.) Green Tip: Water conservation saves money, energy, resources

In this time of summer heat and drought, we are reminded of the importance of conserving water on campus and at home. Your efforts can also help reduce utility bills and the use of energy needed to pump and treat water. Simple steps to help conserve water include: not watering lawns and gardens in the middle of the day; shutting the tap while brushing your teeth, shaving or washing dishes; taking shorter showers; and immediately reporting leaky valves and pipes to Physical Plant for repair.

Additional Information: Report leaks to Physical Plant at 852-6241; more ways to save: http://louisville.edu/sustainability/green-tips.html.

    Studies

9.) Research study for women who have experienced recent miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death

We have developed a clinical survey that may help doctors and nurses better identify parents who need additional follow-up for intense grief after miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. This study will simplify its scoring system so it can be widely used. We are looking for women over age 18 who have had a pregnancy loss in the last eight weeks. Research involves taking two surveys now and again in three months; takes 15-20 minutes to complete. IRB#14.1176
