    1.) FirstBuild Microfactory Open House this week

    July 25, noon to 8 p.m.; July 26, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 333 E. Brandeis St.

    Be one of the first to see inside GE’s latest industry-altering initiative, the FirstBuild Microfactory. Stop by for a tour of the maker-space and microfactory, a pop-up art exhibit, product samples on the showroom floor and more.

     

    2.) Generating, deepening and documenting learning through critical reflection

    Aug. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Shumaker Building, Room 139

    In this full-day, interactive workshop, Patti Clayton will focus on the concept and practice of critical reflection in experiential learning. Participants will be guided through the process of examining the research-grounded DEAL (Describe, Examine, Articulate Learning) model of critical reflection and exploring how they can adopt that approach in assignments and/or assessments with students.     3.) Poster session of summer undergraduate research

    Undergraduate students will present the results from their 10-week summer research experience. Participants in the Biology REU, Cancer Education R25, Chemistry REU, KBRIN, Physiology Cardiovascular, SROP, and students supported by Faculty Grants, will present.
