Free for UofL faculty, staff and students
The Filson Historical Society and the Muhammad Ali Center co-present “Double V,” a 25- minute play by Larry Muhammad based on the career of Louisville Defender publisher Frank Stanley. The play will preceded by a short talk by Muhammad about the history of the American black press. The Filson and the Ali Center are both part of A&S’s Center for Arts and Culture Partnerships.

4.) New email feature designed to increase security
Beginning Feb. 27, IT is implementing a security measure preventing individuals from sending a large volume of email within a single hour. This new feature will protect the university from hackers or from being blacklisted by other institutions. A large-volume email will trigger an alert to IT and the account will be examined to make certain it has not been compromised. 5.) Attention SoftChalk users: Issue with “Save to LMS” resolved
If you build modules in SoftChalk Create for use in Blackboard, the issue with the “Save to LMS” function has now been resolved. Faculty and staff wanting to use this tool to upload new modules into their courses can now do so without problems. The instructions for using this function are located on the Blackboard Help tab and at https://louisville.campuspack.net/Groups/BLACKBOARD_BLOG/Blackboard_9.1_Instructor_Help/Blackboard_9_Help/SoftChalk_publishing.pdf!attach.

Sri Mokshagundam, MD, associate professor, division of endocrinology and metabolism, UofL, presents Update on Diabetes Technologies and Treatments. He will review the high dose insulin in the severe insulin resistant subjects, discuss the use of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems in diabetes management, and discuss the role of new medications in the management of poorly controlled DM. CME category 1 is available for both AAFP & ACCME accreditation.
