Faculty Favorites
1.) Meet a Faculty Favorite
Meet the top 2013-2014 Faculty Favorites nominees through short videos that will be posted every week leading up to a reception Feb. 6. This week, watch this video of Doug Lorenz, who teaches bioinformatics and biostatistics in the School of Public Health and Information Sciences. He was described by his students as “AMAZING,” “super funny and one of our most approachable professors” and “hands down one of the best professors I’ve ever had at UofL.” One student described spontaneous applause for Lorenz at semester’s end: “I think it says a lot about a professor when 40 would-be strangers find it necessary to applaud the person that took them down the never-ending wormhole that is biostatistics.”
