Join GHN for an action-packed workout that will improve your strength, muscle tone, endurance, and help you stick to your fitness goals. Class includes interval training exercises that will have you shredding calories. All moves are modified based on fitness level.

    Get moving with GHN’s Intro to Nia class to help you find health through movement. Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from disciplines of the martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that corresponds with the main areas of the body: the base, the core, and upper extremities. Visit us at GHN to try it out!

    5.) Reminder: VPN Availability for Secure Remote Network Access

    Information Technology’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows users to securely access the university’s internal network from a remote location. A VPN should always be used when accessing sensitive information from outside the University such as HIPAA, FERPA and research data. Users must request a VPN account and install the software. UofL’s VPN has additional support for mobile devices as well as traditional support for Windows (including Windows 10) and MAC OS.

    6.) Roberson Fund for African Studies Scholarship application available

    International Center, Brodschi Hall

    The Roberson Fund for African Studies is available online at www.louisville.edu/studyabroad, or you may pick up a paper application in the International Center. The fund can be used for support for departmental or inter-departmental research or service projects related to Africa, particularly Northern Ghana, support for faculty research or instruction related to Africa, including support for travel to Africa.

    7.) McConnell Center: The Wisdom of Statesmen

    This year, the McConnell Center is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a year-long series of free events exploring citizenship and statesmanship in America. William B. Allen, former chair of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and editor and author of several books on George Washington, will kick-off the series with his talk on “The Wisdom of Statesmen.
