    2.) Session on translating exams from Word into Blackboard course

    March 1, noon to 1 p.m. (lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m. and the presenter will be available until 1:30 p.m. for Q&A), Delphi Center, Ekstrom Library, #244

    Faculty: Make your life easier one exam at a time with Respondus Test Generator. Is the task of creating Blackboard tests getting you down? Do you want a quick and easy way to translate your exams from Microsoft Word (or another word processing format) into your Blackboard course? This session will guide you in mastering a new way to efficiently transfer your exam questions and prompts into your Blackboard course. This is a hands-on session, so please bring a Windows-based laptop.

    Join us for a pediatric grand rounds featuring Aaron Calhoun, MD, and Ellie Peterson, MD. Calhoun is associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Louisville and director of the SPARC program at Kosair Children’s Hospital. Peterson is assistant professor of pediatrics at University of Louisville. They will present “Where Ethics and Medical Education Collide: Death, Deception, and Difficult Conversations in Simulations.”

    Jesse Wright, MD, PhD, UofL Depression Center director, and Renee Girdler, MD, UofL Vice Chair of Family Medicine, will present Computer-assisted Cognitive-behavior Therapy for Depression: A Paradigm Shift for Treatment Delivery in Primary Care? The principles, barriers to treatment, key research findings, and methods for primary care clinician support of cognitive-behavior therapy for depression will be discussed.
