5.) Colon Cancer Awareness “Dress in Blue Day” is March 7

UofL’s Kentucky Cancer Program is encouraging everyone to wear blue on Friday, March 7, for National Dress in Blue Day as part of Colon Cancer Awareness Month. Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related deaths in the country as well as in Kentucky, killing nearly 900 people each year in our state. Colon cancer screening saves lives, but unfortunately many people are not being screened. Please wear blue and help raise awareness of this preventable disease.
