    At 19 years and 337 days old (as of Dec. 10), UofL Quarterback Lamar Jackson became the youngest player to ever win The Heisman Trophy. He is also the first player from Louisville to win the award in its 82-year history.

    Reminder: Blackboard will be offline beginning Friday for a scheduled upgrade

    Blackboard will be unavailable for a scheduled upgrade and cloud migration beginning Friday, December 16 at 5 p.m. through Tuesday, December 20 at 8 p.m. Those utilizing the Grade Import feature to transfer final letter grades from Grade Center to the PeopleSoft Grade Roster should do so prior to the upgrade. Grade Import will be temporarily unavailable following the upgrade, but will return with new capabilities in spring 2017. There will be no change in the way you access Blackboard.

    IESL program offering Communication in English class

    The IESL program is offering an evening class Spring 2017 semester on Monday and Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., beginning January 9. The class is designed to help non-native speakers of English (high-intermediate to advanced proficiency) become more effective communicators in academic, professional and social situations. Class instruction focuses on conversational fluency and the acquisition of linguistic strategies needed in professional interactions.

    Care of individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease) requires coordination of care from a variety of health care providers. UofL and KentuckyOne Health have designed a continuing education course to educate nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, psychologists, physical therapists, speech therapists and occupational therapists on the range of therapeutic services and assistive devices for ALS patients.

    8 CME: Radiological Training for Hospital Faculty
