DID YOU KNOW?
UofL staff archaeologist Phillip DiBlasi is working with the Friends of Eastern Cemetery on repairs and cleanup at the site. He’s been involved with the cemetery since the late 1980s, when it was discovered graves had been reused. See this recent WDRB story on the group and DiBlasi’s role.

1.) UofL Today publishing schedule for winter break announced
The UofL Today email is published Monday through Friday. Due to the upcoming university break, UofL Today will not be sent out Dec. 25 to Jan. 2. The deadline for Jan. 5 announcements is 10 a.m., Dec. 24.

2.) The YMCA and Get Healthy Now give UofL employees the gift of fitness over the holiday break!
Through Jan. 4, 2015, the YMCAs of Greater Louisville and So. Indiana invite all UofL employees to work out for FREE. To take advantage of this opportunity, all you need is a current UofL employee ID. Should your spouse, immediate family member or out-of-town guest join you, there will be a $5 per person per day fee with picture ID. 3.) School of Medicine Basic, Bridge and Collaborative Grant programs available
The School of Medicine Research Committee administers the Basic, Bridge and Collaborative Matching Grant programs to provide financial support to School of Medicine faculty. These awards have been increased up to $25K for Basic, $40K for Bridge and $50K for Collaborative with $25K in matched funds. The next cycle’s submission deadline is January 5, 2015.

4.) Note changes for iClicker for Spring 2015
iClicker has some policies that will affect the use of used clickers. If you are using iClickers with your class in the spring, please place an announcement in your courses that students must register using Blackboard or anyone registering a used clicker on the iclicker.com website will be charged a one-time $6.99 registration fee.
