Join President James Ramsey for a fun, easy, 30-minute ride to campus for Welcome Week. Riders will leave together then split into two groups: one headed to Belknap campus and another to HSC. Both routes will be fairly flat and low-traffic. This event is a collaboration between Get Healthy Now, Sustainability Council and Office of the President. By cycling to campus, Ramsey seeks to set a powerful example for the community, highlighting his support for a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.

6.) Department of Medicine releases KLCRP Cycle 14 budget spreadsheet and PCF
The Department of Medicine created a budget spreadsheet and proposal-specific PCF for the KY Lung Cancer Research Program grants due Oct. 10 and posted them here. The spreadsheet will auto-calculate the PI cost share and supplies, and includes calculation pages for completing the application budget and PCF. Two types of PCF are also included.

Our speaker will be Justin Hallgren from the lab of Michal Hetman. The title of his talk is “The Role of the Nucleolus in Neurodegeneration.” Justin will use this seminar to practice for an upcoming post-doc interview. Lunch will be provided by The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
