LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville College of Business is introducing a new, 100% online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Accountancy.

The degree emphasizes accounting practices, information systems and technologies.

The program can be completed in four years or faster with transferred credits from prior coursework. It is ideal for those who have completed some college-level coursework but did not finish a degree program and for working professionals. It includes courses in marketing, management, finance and economics.

“Students in our BSBA program are prepared to take the CPA exam in Kentucky and certain other states. They also study data analytics and other tools used by auditors and accounting professionals,” said William Stout, Ph.D., director of the UofL School of Accountancy and associate professor of accountancy. “By introducing this 100% online program, we are giving working professionals a chance to do their coursework when it is convenient for them.”

The bachelor’s in accountancy is the first undergraduate program to be offered online at the College of Business. UofL School of Accountancy is separately accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), which recognizes schools for excellence and continuous improvement in their accounting programs.
