Activities including inflatable rides and games will begin at 6:30 p.m. The movie will begin at dusk. Patrons are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers and picnic baskets. Sodexo will sell food on site.

“The Muppet Movie” is the story of Kermit the Frog, who is persuaded by an agent to pursue a career in Hollywood. Along the way, Kermit picks up Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, The Great Gonzo, and a motley crew of other Muppets with similar aspirations. Meanwhile, Kermit must elude the grasp of a frog-leg restaurant magnate.

This is the third movie in the summer series. Movies are selected by popular vote among faculty and staff.

John Drees is a 35-year veteran in the Office of Communications and Marketing. As vice president, communications and marketing, he works closely with the president, provost and other senior administrators, oversees the Office of Communications and Marketing, including media relations, marketing and brand, broadcast, social media, internal communication, crisis communication, visitor services and special events and activities. A former sports editor for the Voice Newspapers, he was a regular contributor to a variety of publications, including the Kentucky Sports Report and the Courier-Journal.
