University of Louisville President James Ramsey and University of Kentucky President Lee Todd will be guests on One to One with Bill Goodman, which airs at 8 p.m. EST.

As the presidents of research universities, Ramsey and Todd discuss their schools’ roles in providing a better educated population, jobs, and medical and scientific breakthroughs.  The two men told Goodman that UofL and UK currently collaborate on more than 100 programs and research projects, including cancer research and the future Argonne national laboratory.

Ramsey and Todd also discussed many other topics, including state budget cuts’ impact on higher education, mission creep by other state universities and the salaries paid to football and basketball coaches. The one hour program was taped Thursday, Dec. 17.

It will be repeated through the week.
