Dewey Clayton, professor of political science, will discuss his 2010 book, “The Presidential Campaign of Barack Obama: A Critical Analysis of a Racially Transcendent Strategy.” Clayton’s book examines how race in U.S. politics has changed and offers insight into Obama’s 2008 candidacy.

Jason Gainous, associate professor of political science, will discuss “Rebooting American Politics: The Internet Revolution,” a 2010 book he co-wrote that explores the implications of the growing use of the Internet in the U.S. political landscape.

Blaine Hudson, College of Arts and Sciences dean and professor of Pan-African studies, will discuss “Two Centuries of Black Louisville: A Photographic History,” a 2011 book he co-wrote that traces African American history in Louisville back to 1778.

All three authors will be showcased from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday on BookTV on C-SPAN2.

Their interviews also will be shown over the weekend between regularly scheduled programs on BookTV and can be seen indefinitely after Aug. 5 online.
