DID YOU KNOW
UofL’s Saddle Seat riding team hosts a horse show every year. This year’s show took place at Zubrod Stables in Prospect, and featured (in addition to the UofL team) the University of Kentucky, NKU, EKU, Bellarmine University and Georgetown College. The Cardinals swept the competition, winning high point team as well as high point senior rider (Sarah Lucas) and reserve high point senior rider (Shelby Martin).
FACULTY AND STAFF NOTABLES
Edwin Segal, professor emeritus in UofL’s Department of Anthropology, has published “Heritage” through Loyola University Maryland’s Apprentice House Press, a student-managed book publisher. “Heritage” is a book of poems that constitutes one person’s effort to make sense of life as a contemporary American Jew. The poems in the book reflect two threads – new commentaries on texts and stories in the Hebrew Bible, and the experiences encountered in mainstream American Judaism.

UofL Today features a faculty/staff notables section daily. We encourage UofL employees to submit names of colleagues who have accomplished something “notable,” whether in or out of the classroom, to highlight in this section. This process affects courses with IDs ending in 4148, 4145 and 4142, e.g. ACCT-101-02-4148. This is a process completed by the Delphi Center to free up server space for new courses. If you have a specific need to keep an impacted course available beyond May 24, please submit a request online by May 19 (ULink credentials are required). Convocation of Thanks
